Description
Elastic bands are used frequently to correct different kinds of malocclusions. They are worn for 12 to 2 hours, along the night or throughout the day according to the comfort of the wearer. These forces make it necessary to use dental rubber bands to achieve good occlusion. These small elastic bands are used to affix arch wire into the bracket. This process is called ligation and dental rubber bands are considered to be the best ligatures.
